Free Personal Trainer

I have been training everyday and my abs are flat abs. This has given me the fastest and best results!

Good news! Like mine, your abdominal muscles (abs) DON’T need working every day, because like any muscle, they need at least one day’s rest after training so that they can recover and repair; that’s when the toning process happens!


I have found that there are a few really important things to remember in your quest for flat abs. Being muscles like any other, they need the recovery time as I mentioned before, but also they need resistance to keep them responding! As with all exercises, it’s quality not quantity with the repetitions, so concentrate on great technique. If you can’t feel the muscles working then it’s not working! When your repetitions exceed around 25 in good form then it’s time to add a little resistance (depending on the exercise) to keep seeing improvements.

Probably the biggest myth surrounding the ’6 pack abs’ hysteria is that it’s possible to see great results by exercise alone; please don’t believe the hype! To have your abdominal muscles visible, they need to protrude through a very thin layer of body fat. To get body fat levels that low takes a very strict diet AND the right exercises. Even if you aren’t blessed with favourable genetics or even the will or want to keep your eating habits so strict you can get tissue paper thick skin; you still can, with some small tweaks to your lifestyle habits, achieve a flat, trim waistline to be proud of!
